When it comes to fitness there are 3 categories of people 1) already fit and athletic people who LOVE fitness and love trying anything and all things fitness 2) There are former atheletes who LOVE fitness but life has gotten in the way and they just havent reconnected with their love of fitness 3) There are people who love tacos, hate to sweat, and would literally do ANYTHING not to have to workout and would rather diet and pop pills…. ok so maybe you are somewhere in the middle or a combination of a few of these.

What I teach you is that fitness is body hygiene. You brush your teeth to keep them white, bacteria free and strong… likewise you workout to keep your body injury free and strong. Contrary to what you have been told. weight loss is not gauranteed when you workout.. it IS very Probable that you will lose weight, but it’s not the reason you should be heading to the gym 4 times a week.

Fit Mamas

Nothing defines me as much as this picture. Being what I call “Mom Strong” is so much more important then a 6 pack, or a PR in a race. Mom Strong is this sort of freakish strength that allows you to carry an infant on a carrier in the front a toddler in a pack back on the back and juggle a 5 year old and a piece of lugage through the airport. It’s not only the physical training of your body for this kind of strength but having the brain power to keep it all together. My programs are not only for moms they are for any person who is a REAL person. You must be able to shake off the idea that you and your body are only worthy when you have a 6 pack and a toned butt… Those things are fine and nice and might possibly BE the end of your hard work, but what if theyre not? What if I had run this 5k only with my PR in mind? When my not quite 2 year old kept asking to get out and run, what would I be teaching her if I made her stay in the stroller? Our pace was so slow, but she was SOO thrilled. And now 2 years later she and my son have both run/walked and occassionally been in the stroller for several other 5 k races. I want her to have fun with fitness.. even if at times it means I am sacraficing a little of my “winning” to do it.
