A few weeks back I stumbled upon this on the Instagram feed of Trainer @amber Brueske.

I absolutely love this. For me that is 100% what Fitness from the Inside Out embodies.

No one is telling you that you should embrace your body and love all of yourself OR get to work on having the body of your dreams. It’s a Both AND concept not one or the other.

So start right now, honoring every aspect of your body.

  • Marvel at your ability to move, be so eternally grateful that you are not suffering an ailment or imobile in anyway. The freedom to move and walk and stand and stretch is so precious and we take it for granted.
  • Your body produced human life… like you literally created an entire child, or two or three… And then most of you produced milk to feed that child for 6-12 months or more. Really think about how amazing that is. It is Gods gift of the human form of woman that he continues to allow our population to grow and thrive. So the fact that you wake up an po po your belly is no longer acceptable.
  • Take inventory of how many times your body has safely walked yourself and a babe or two through a crowd, be iit in a carrier, on your shoulders or in your arms. Your strength is astounding.
  • You are worthy of the highest praise just for being you. Every glorious part of you, stretch marks, pox marks, jiggly bits, boney bits and all. ALL of it.

Now, if you are feeling ready to CHANGE the parts of your body that you feel are ready to change.

  • Start with a plan
  • Focus on the FEELING of how amazing a walk feels, how glorious a stretch and yoga session feeling, how amped up a boot camp sweat sesh feels
  • Do NOT starve yourself of precious nutritents
  • Do NOT shame yourself for any part of your fitness journey
  • Set small goals and feel empowered when you smash them, knowing that there might be ups and downs on this journey. But if you continue to put one foot forward and keep moving onward and forwards you will reach goals, and heights that are beyond even your biggest dreams.

So go on… Get after it! Put the all or nothing attitude to bed. And start moving, a little bit, every damn day.
